BIO

John Patrick & The Outside Voices is a five-piece rock & roll outfit fronted by singer-songwriter John Patrick Halling.

First appearing on the scene in 2013, Halling released his solo debut “Boy in the Water” in 2015. Shortly after returning from his cross-country tour, Halling enlisted the help of North East Ohio music veterans Jimmy Dykes, Sam Langstaff, Johnny Miller, and Kevin McManus to form The Outside Voices. The group has quickly established itself as one of the region’s most entertaining acts.

2017 brings the release of the band’s full-length debut “Hound Dogs” – recorded at Amish Electric Chair Studios in Athens, OH. The 10 song album is both evocative and hook-filled, with winding ’70s-inspired riffs and “… a pinch of the Ryan Adams / Whiskeytown influence that touches the heart of this new generation of troubadours (Cleveland.com).”

Rooted in Kent, OH – a town known for harboring the early playing careers of Joe Walsh, Dan Auerbach, and Patrick Sweany – John Patrick & The Outside Voices stay true to the area’s rustbelt rock reputation through a catalog of cleverly-crafted songs and charismatic live performances.
